From one family’s kitchen to fridges nationwide.

Inspired by a childhood memory from growing up in Ukraine, Clio was born when our founder, Sergey Konchakovskiy, recreated a nostalgic, Eastern European treat in a new, better-for-you form. Sergey and his family spent countless late nights experimenting with prototypes, taste-testing each version, and making plenty of mistakes along the way. Eventually, something clicked. They had created an entirely new snack and it was unbelievably delicious.

Our Journey

How it started.

Clio began unexpectedly, sparked by our founder’s entrepreneurial spirit and a nostalgic memory from his childhood in Ukraine. After discovering Greek yogurt in his fridge that had thickened from draining, Sergey was reminded of the rich, cheesecake-like texture of a popular Eastern-European treat. That moment inspired a new kind of snack, bringing together the indulgence of chocolate and the benefits of Greek yogurt with the convenience of a bar.

The Early Days

With no existing way to manufacture his new treat, Sergey set out to build a facility, restoring Soviet-era equipment by hand. Every step was trial and error, guided by curiosity, creativity and a strong belief in what was possible. His excitement and resourcefulness became the foundation for getting Clio off the ground.

Gaining Momentum

Momentum began to build as consumers tried–and loved–the bars, retailers came on board and the Clio team expanded. Early wins validated Sergey’s vision, and we invested in long-term growth through stronger systems and better ingredients. Clio’s future was taking shape.

Scaling Up

As demand grew, our team began to think bigger. We moved into a larger production facility, surpassed $50M in revenue, and expanded our portfolio with Minis and Zero Sugar product lines to meet evolving consumer needs.

Today & Tomorrow

Today, Clio reflects years of persistence, creative thinking, and teamwork. What started in one father’s home kitchen is now a nationally-recognized brand that’s redefining how people snack. And we’re just getting started.
